The Navigli are the canal network of Milan designed by Leonardo da Vinci. The area is lovely late in the afternoon for sunset pictures and in the evening with a lot of pubs and restaurants. Metro stop is Porta Genova, green metro line M2.
Other: another interesting area is Navigli, a district along canals full of little shops bars and restaurants, but it's south Milan on the opposite side of the city, you can check out on Moovit app your best trasportation options
Cute neighborhood with a canal and interesting shops/restaurants on each side. Grab an aperitivo here!
Historically, the Navigli of Milan was born as a navigable artificial canals used for the transport of people and goods and for irrigation. It was along these waters that the marble blocks for the construction of the Milan Cathedral arrived. The canals were filled in to allow cars to circulate, but this area has retained its original beauty. In fact, it is one of the most loved and well-known districts of Milan, for its beauty and the active nightlife that characterizes it. There are numerous restaurants, bars, small shops, and artisan shops. Perfect to see the sunset.
