Everything you need from a country pub near you. The inn takes its name from Elizabeth Lewis, heiress of a major local landowner in the area, who married the Third Earl of Plymouth in the early 1700's. The Plymouth Arms' location provided easy access to Cardiff and was a popular stop off point for people travelling there in traditional handsom cabs. The menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as their seasonal spring dishes, and a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in the beautiful gardens or by the crackling log fires.

The Plymouth Arms in the nearby village of St Fagans is a good place for good beer and good pub grub. Perhaps, try lunch here before a visit to the famous "Folk Museum" which is the local name for the St Fagans National Museum of History (Welsh) which is over the road and down the hill on the right.
