Our stay was pleasant for the most part. Checking in was easy, but upon entering, there was a big chemical spillage in hallway. We covered with pool towels so that we could step over it to get to the other rooms. Minor inconvenience. We had to use the ant spray several times in the kitchen as we kept finding a trail of ants appearing each day. We had to go out and buy our own toilet paper as the ones that were there upon arrival were basically out and there were no extras. We bought our own laundry detergent and it was nice to do laundry during our stay. I appreciated Lorraine being very responsive to our needs. The front door lock pad stopped working at one point and they were able to help us right away. Overall, it was a fair value if you’re on a budget.

Not worth the price.

We are collectively disappointed in our stay at Loraine’s place. Upon arrival, it was evident that the home was unkempt and neglected. The pool looked murky and unsafe to swim in, riddled with cobwebs and dirt. Inside, the space is much smaller than portrayed in the marketing photos. There was an overall lack of attention to detail and felt as though the house was staged for online photos meaning it was less than functional and not up to par with marketing or price per night: No dish soap, broken ice machine, unusable pool, broken front door lock (this was a recurring and problematic issue throughout our stay which we ended up fixing ourselves), no extra toilet paper, backwards shower nozzles, ant infestation, predatory maintenance man, etc.

The space served its purpose for our 5 day work trip. The host would respond and do her best to resolve unfolding issues but seemed inconvenienced and unconcerned with the plethora of issues that we had to deal with.
