Oakwood Beach is actually one of Chicago's newer beaches! Its a 15 min walk and 5 min drive. Swimming is allowed from 11am -7 pm while a life guard is present. If you're not into swimming in Lake Michigan, there's ample trails for biking or running along the lake. There are also a number of events especially during the warmer months that are great to check out!

It’s a nice beach with beautiful Chicago Skyline view. Parking is cheaper vs. other beach’s in Chicago

Located directly across from my property. Entrance is at Oakwood/39th street. New Bike and Running path. A Coca-Cola sponsored exercise circuit, the Lake Front View and the beach is immediately to the South 3 yards (LOL!) Divvy Bike docking stations are at the Lake Front, at Mandrake park and at 35th & Lake Park.

Who doesn't love a beach? Or get out on the 18 mile long bike path and discover some of Chicago's 26 beaches, bird sanctuaries, beautiful sculptures, and some amazing vistas....
