If you like to hike or walk then this is one of the top spots in the valley that is close to town. You can drive up to the lake and walk around it or take one of the multiple hiking trails that start at Rooks Park or start at the lake. You will see a variety of wildlife up by the lake.

Bennington Lake is a nearby reservoir with hiking trails around it. It's a great place to take your family or your dog for some exercise.
