MUSEUM OF NEWPORT HISTORY, run by the Newport Historical Society, is the place to get acquainted with the towns 300 year plus history, with interactive exhibits.

A fantastic introduction and jumping off point for your stay in Newport. A fascinating overview of Newport from it's founding in 1639 though the beginning of the development of Bellevue Avenue. Walking tours offered June-December.
