See folder of home-made maps of hikes: 1. Up the river into the bear reserve and beyond: just walk up the road until it peters out and you have to cross the water (in shallow places) 2. Up the hill behind the cabin: walk up the road for 100m and then turn right sharply on the path on your right. It climbs steeply uphill for a short while, but the views when you emerge from the forest are beautiful. 2A. Walk up to Marisel (map at cabin, yellow dots) 2B. Walk along the contour line (map at cabin, blue dots)
