A great family friendly area perfect for the kids. There is a great playground, calm waters to explore, and BBQ areas for lunch. The Boat shed offers Stand up Paddle board, kayak, and canoe hire.

In the area in front of the home there is good populations of bream. There are also expansive sand flats interspersed with deep channels in this section. This is about 1km to the north. These flats hold good populations of whiting and flathead.

Settlement Point reserve is a great picnic spot, great for a swim or paddle. Take the ferry across the River to the North Shore. You can travel free as a pedestrian or this is a charge each way in your car. You can drive the north shore and return to Port Macquarie via the Hibbard Ferry. (turn left off Settlement Point ferry drive until you reach the Hibbard Ferry

Great for a spot of fishing and swimming in the river. Picnic facilities are available and the ferry for North Shore departs from here.
