This is our local - sadly, due to lack of staff, the kitchens have been closed and the bar is now only open on certain days (usually weekends).

A 2 minute walk from the lodge so you can leave the car at home and a few drinks. Cosy with friendly service if eating Try the Skirt Steak. They will do breakfast if you book ahead

A lovely pub/restaurant tucked away in tiny Ashendon, newly run by young & obviously talented couple - menu is short & inspired. They even run a taxi service locally so guests can drink. 01296 651296
