When you are in Mainz you are in the Gutenberg-city, that guy who invented almost 600 years ago the bookprint. Its cheap and the changing exhibitions are really good!
The Gutenberg Museum in Mainz is one of the oldest printing and type museums in the world. Its main attractions include 2 copies of the Gutenberg Bible, the oldest book printed with movable type (!), and a temporary exhibition on typography and book design. The museum is located opposite the Mainz cathedral (Mainzer Dom) in Mainz's old city center.
