Another gem on the Solway Coast. Lovely walk to the beautiful beach with 2 hides and a playpark for the children. Well worth a visit.

Discover the breath-taking scenery and wildlife that is typical of this region. Explore the nature trails and the viewing hides at your own pace. In spring, the wet meadows fill with lapwings and skylarks, butterflies and wild flowers. in the autumn, thousands of migrating barnacle and pink footed geese arrive for the winter creating an unmissable spectacle. Located approx. 7 miles from Barnbarroch Lodge.

Situated on the scenic north shore of the Solway coast, RSPB Mersehead is an extensive wetland and saltmarsh area, a haven for breeding waders, wintering waterfowl and year-round bird and wildlife-watching. Spring is particularly magical, when the wet meadows fill with lapwings and skylarks.
