This place is awesome for taking photos, seeing history, checking out all the native plants, flowers, and foliage. The Mound House also has a natural butterfly garden and a pathway full of unique greenery. I also like the docks where you can get perfect view of the back bay. There is also a historic museum on the grounds that tells an interesting story. The grounds are FREE and I believe the museum is $12. ⭐⭐⭐

This is a truly special museum. In their own words ... "Mound House is a unique archaeological and historical site on Fort Myers Beach located directly on Estero Bay and offers a variety of programs for local residents, visitors and school groups. Experience this one of a kind museum that sits atop a 2,000 year old Calusa Indian Shell Mound."
