A "Biergarten" is an open-air pub. This Biergarten is in a nice little park and one of the most beautiful ones in Cologne.

The beer garden on Rathenauplatz near the Zülpicher Straße nightlife mile is practical for visitors with children: there is a playground and a changing table is also available. So a popular place for families during the day. Towards the evening, the proportion of students who hit the pubs and clubs in the Kwartier Latäng increases sharply. Der Biergarten am Rathenauplatz nahe der Ausgehmeile Zülpicher Straße ist praktisch für Besucher mit Kindern: Es gibt einen Spielplatz, ein Wickeltisch ist auch vorhanden. Tagsüber also ein beliebter Ort für Familien. Zum Abend hin nimmt der Anteil an Studenten stark zu, welche sich zu späterer Stunde in die Kneipen und Clubs im Kwartier Latäng schlagen.
