Shipped off to Australia Beaney made his money hoaxing people in small Australian outback towns that he was a visiting dignitary, no internet! He sent the money home to build the institute:-)

Beautifully restored, the Beaney houses all sorts of wonderful pieces and has a full library. Tourist information is also inside.
