Cafe Lotus, located on Ubud's busy main road (Jalan Raya), has been an Ubud institution since its inception in 1983. Even by Balinese standards, it's one-of-a-kind, with a large Lotus pond framed by ancient towering kamboja (magnolia) trees and, more recently, an exhibit of dozens of blooming orchid plants.
