This awesome trail runs from a corner of the first car park at the foot of Table Mountain all the way to Camp's Bay - and beyond. It follows two massive cast iron pipes that transport drinking water (hence its name) and affords amazing views of Lion's Head, Table Mountain and Camp's Bay along the way - an under publicised delight.

The Pipe Track is the perfect Table Mountain hiking route for beginner hikers as well as those looking to enjoy a more relaxed and laid-back hiking experience. This gives you the perfect opportunity to admire the magnificent views of Lion’s Head, the Atlantic Ocean, Twelve Apostles mountain range and the beautiful Mother City. The Pipe Track starts at the bottom of Tafelberg Road, to the right of the Kloof Nek parking area. WARNING: The Pipe Track is very exposed to the hot afternoon sun in summer; it is at its best early on summer mornings
