Beautiful area to walk on the beach during low tide, lots of cliffs by the sea, occasional tide pools, and interesting clay/rock formations. Great spot for warm water surfing:)

Walk the long sea wall in Carlsbad. It's Southern point ends here. There's a great surf here, and when it's low tide, there are tide pools that the kids (and adults) can enjoy seeing and touching cool sea anemones and crabs.

This is the beach right across the street from the home. Grab a towel and head down the stairs. Soak up some sun or go for a swim. When the tide is low there are tide pools filled with little sea creatures. Fun for everyone!

Carlsbad Bluffs is a great place to watch the sunset. Enjoy from the top or take the stairs down to the beach and find a spot on the cliffs to the left- if the tide is low enough.
