The Toolenburgerplas, near the Hoofddorp district of Toolenburg, is a paradise for sun lovers and "non-motorized water sports enthusiasts". Here you can swim, surf and sunbathe. Cycling and walking are also possible. The design of the recreational lake is inspired by the surrounding polder. Rectangular shapes are interspersed with winding banks, winding paths and ragged edges. At the lake there are a number of restaurants where you can sit on the terrace on the water, such as restaurant Lieveling and restaurant Long Island.

At this lake , you can have nice dog walks. There is also a special place where you can swim with your dog. Perfect spot to walk with unleashed dogs
