Even in the rain the big trees may keep you dry! Take Pipeline trail along the river and up the mountain for a lookout all the way to the Santa Cruz Warf!

Take the 1 mile level walk through the giant virgin Redwoods: enter from Hwy 9. Very few of the virgin (never cut down) Redwoods are in Santa Cruz Co: this is the closest place to see them from Aptos. The other place is the Big Basin State Park past Boulder Creek.

“This park with the largest trees in the world that are over 2,000 years old is absolutely mind blowing and my favorite place in the Bay Area. Plenty of trails ranging from easy to difficult. About 45 minute drive from Sunnyvale. ”
