Take in the smell of sagebrush and hike around the Sage Hills starting from this trail head. If you're wanting to check out Saddle Rock but are yearning for a little more peace and quiet, this trail can take to Saddle Rock from behind and is usually much less traveled.

Another entry point to Saddle Rock Trailhead is from Jacobson Preserve Trailhead, which in my opinion is more child friendly and in the shade.
