Arashiyama is a pleasant, touristy district in the western outskirts of Kyoto. The area has been a popular destination since the Heian Period (794-1185), when nobles would enjoy its natural setting. Arashiyama is particularly popular during the cherry blossom and fall color seasons.

Arashiyama is a small town on the Oi River. Its moon-crossing bridge, Togetsu-kyo, is a beautiful, much-beloved wooden structure. Arishiyama also has Tenryu-ji temple, one of the 14 World Heritage Sites in Kyoto. (City Bus/#28) Kyoto St→Arashiyama Park(Koen) 43min (Train) Kyoto St(JR)→Saga arashiyama St(JR) (Exp12min,Loca 16min)

One of the most beautiful place in Kyoto. There are famous temples, shrines and tourist spots. Direct train takes for around 40 mins from Hiyoshi JR to Saga-Arashiyama.

Kyoto - Arashiyama The extremely beautiful place for sightseeing. The best time is Cherry Blossom and Fall Color seasons. There are a lot small shops, restaurant, and other attractions near by. So enjoy this area’s natural beauty and I’m sure that you’ll never be disappointed.
