Nice place to spend the Saturday or Sunday morning (market closes at 3pm ish on Saturday and 2pm ish on Sunday). Friendly people sell tasty, qualitative and interesting things. You find fresh and cheap vegetables, burgers, hotdogs, and so much more! Atmosphere is great and the champagne bar with seafood is the place to be for local people. You can also grab a seat around the market and sit in one of the cafes there.

Underneath the white beams floating above Antwerp Theaterplein square, an outdoor food market settles in every Saturday, and it is overflowing with colors and fragrances from fresh flowers, herbs and both warm and cold international snacks. I love to start the weekend here with friends for it's typical atmosphere and to have some handmade fish croquettes or oysters. A few glasses of bubbles or wine are not too early at all, and go perfectly with that on a Saturday morning to kickstart the weekend in Antwerp! But not too much, there's still the whole day ahead with plenty more to do & see :-)
