This temple was constructed on a magical hillock on the coast. Here you can find a white pagoda, a large golden statue of Buddha, and further statues and bells all around. From here there is a beautiful view in two directions over the island. For the most part it’s free of tourists, and you can even meet meditating monks. I recommend visiting this place before sunset. WAT KHAO CHEDI Until a few months ago, this monument in ruins had been forgotten for many years. Now that the path to Chedi has been restored, it is easier to access. About 300 meters west of Laem Sor Chedi, there is a hill. At the base of it, a small hut can be seen. Then, 100 meters to the right of this house, the path is visible; it leads to a staircase that must be mounted for about ten minutes. At the top, the quiet and relaxing ruins of Wat Khao Chedi greet the intrepid explorer. In the center, sits the Reclining Buddha, a monument of 10 meters in size. The place offers a magnificent view of the "5 Islands". Built near a Buddhist temple, this sacred place is highly respected by the people of Koh Samui, but little frequented by visitors. When one arrives in this place, a real feeling of serenity invades you. The panorama of Laem Sor Bay and the surrounding islands is breath-taking.
