In a city overrun with screens, there are few recently updated ones that don’t feel like spaceships. Set in a brutalist council block with a surreal feel, this cinema’s exterior is replicated inside thanks to a brilliant refurb that put concrete surfaces everywhere. Between the decor, the mint tea selection, and the reclining seats, I’m a huge fan. Book a two-seater couch for date night. Thank me later.
