English – Italiano The Ortigia Market is the triumph of Sicilian flavours and gastronomy. It takes place every day along the Via De Benedictis from 7. 30 a. m. to 2 p. m. So every morning, except Sunday, there is a lively commercial activity in this area, which stretches as far as the nearby Temple of Apollo. The Ortigia Market embraces a part of the nearby Piazza Cesare Battisti. Right next to the square you will find stalls and shops with more cheeses, cold cuts, wines, liqueurs, preserves and various spices. We recommend visiting in the early hours of the morning especially during the particularly hot months of July and August. Italiano Il Mercato di Ortigia è il trionfo dei sapori e della gastronomia siciliana. Si svolge tutti i giorni lungo la Via De Benedictis dalle 7.30 del mattino sino alle 14.00. Tutte le mattine dunque, tranne la domenica, le attività commerciali animano questa zona che si protende sino al limitrofo Tempio di Apollo. Il Mercato di Ortigia abbraccia una parte della vicina Piazza Cesare Battisti. Proprio in prossimità della piazza troverete bancarelle e negozi con maggiore presenza di formaggi , salumi ,vini , liquori, conserve e spezie varie. Consigliamo di recarvi nelle prime ore della mattinata soprattutto durante i mesi di luglio e agosto particolarmente caldi. Oltre a poter disporre, in questa fascia oraria , delle migliori scelte.
