Another one of our favorite Canmore walking trails! The raised boardwalk along Policeman’s Creek is a scenic and quintessential Canmore walk that great for birding. It’s open year-round perfect for witnessing the various seasons in Canmore.

You can access this scenic trail within a 10 minute walk, near the Big Head sculpture. Follow a 3.9-km boardwalk that runs alongside Policeman’s Creek and you’ll pass ponds with ducks swimming, and a forested area, with songbirds singing. Keep your camera handy as you may even spot elk or deer. This is an easy route that works for all skill levels, but since the boardwalk connects with the town’s trail system, you can switch to a more ambitious route.

Highly recommended to go through here if you are walking or biking from the Suite to the main street. It is a 3.9 km out and back trail following the river and is rated as easy. Best used from March to November.
