The Catalina Island Theater & Casino has never been a gambling casino. Casino is Italian for gathering place. The top floor of the casino is a ballroom used for special events. The Catalina theater is in the bottom portion of the Casino and shows movies primarily Friday & Saturday’s. You absolutely positively must see a movie in the casino. It’s beautiful and one of a kind. In the book case there is a book about the history of the casino. Check it out.
