Imagine yourself back in the 18th century, in the heyday of the rich country life on the Vecht. The park Goudestein is publicly accessible because here the mayor and aldermen of Stichtse Vecht hold office. Goudestein was built in 1754 on the site of an older country house. The park was built in the early 19th century in landscape style with winding paths, lawns and a pond. Buitenplaats Goudestein can sometimes be visited with a guide. Just take a stroll along the river Vecht on the Zandpad to the cityhall 'Goudenstein". It's situated in a nice park.

Er staan hele oude bomen, het gemeentehuis is mooi, er zitten veel reigers (vogel) en het is er rustig.
