A lot of folks ask where to take their friends (or kids they are visiting at Texas A&M) when they come into town that will be away from the crowds. This is the place! This is the best local restaurant that has not been discovered by tourists and SEC-followers. American food, Texan food - Beef, chicken, fish - fried or grilled with salad bar, Coke fountain drinks and bottled beer in a tavern/rustic atmosphere that has never had a waiting list when we've been there. Just look at it from the satellite view and see how it's just off the radar for folks. It's the best local restaurant, hands down, even if it were discovered. Shhh....don't tell anybody!
