Visitors can go to Kalathas using the buses of Public Bus of Chania-Rethymnon that follow the routes Chania-Stavros. Kalathas is located on the peninsula of Akrotiri 14 km northeast of Chania.It is a natural bay with clear water and a small island located in the center. This sandy beach has shallow waters and it is preferred a lot by locals with families. Also, it has a small island in a short swim distance where you can do scuba diving. It is about a 10 min drive.

Kalathas beach is the closest beach to the Villa Alexander, but it also happens to be one of the best in Chania!
