Closed to visitors in the winter months. This is my favorite trail in Seward. It is a long and difficult day hike. The views celebrate the glaciers of Alaska from some of the most untouched vistas in the area. The park rangers at the visitor's center are very informative on the local flora and fauna. Guided ranger talks are scheduled daily.
Harding Ice Field – 3641 elevation, 9.2 miles - harder hike Harding Ice Field Trail is a 9.2 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail that features a waterfall and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, camping, and bird watching and is best used from May until October.
