There's a whole system of trails in the south end of Eugene, and they are fantastic as they link together for miles and miles of exercise. I love to trail run on these. Expect inclines and declines.

7 minute drive. Relatively flat hiking trail. Don't leave valuables in car, no pass required.

There's map of the entire Ridegline Trail system in the Alley House. There are multiple trails of varying lengths and difficulty. One of the favorites is to go to the top of Spencer's Butte (different from Skinner's Butte). On July 4th there's a famous run "The Butte to Butte"

Great place for some beautiful easy hikes, and some of the trails are good for mountain biking, and the Raptor Center is right across the street.
