There are lots of Indian restaurants in York but our absolute favourite is 29 States. We’ve travelled extensively in India and we know authentic Indian cuisine when we taste it… and this place really hits the spot! It’s not the typical UK High Street Indian restaurant so you might not find all your old favourites on offer but you might just find a new one. We’d recommend the Punjabi shrimp masala, the Goan king prawn curry and the shahi paneer. And we absolutely love their Delhi-style dal makhani.
