New found favorite. If you like a cacophony of flavor, try this place. I ordered a take out lunch dish ("Rice Bowl with Ota Tofu" - You have to read the menu, it is a tastebud circus) and scarfed the thing down happily. Very inventive dishes, large portions. Very satisfying and healthy. Yummmmmy! If they are open for seating when you visit, go for dinner. The interior most be even more magical in the evening with low candle light. Very romantic!

SE Portland, on Division - a cute street to walk. This place is right at 45th & Division. Also close to gelato, lots of other restaurants, etc. This is my favorite restaurant. Their food is unique - I don't know how to describe it, you'll have to look at the menu. But it's all seriously delicious. And it's in a really beautifully decorated old Portland house. I especially love the eggplant and tofu, and the coconut milk rice pudding. Everything I've had there is so good. They are super busy - so order takeout way in advance - like an hour or two in advance. They also just opened up back patio seating - call to see if it's open.
