This is a secret local gem of a place to go backcountry glamping, hiking and swimming. Please go to their website to know the rules before you go. Google 'Fry Creek Wilderness Society'. This is a non-profit society and I appreciate their contributions to the community.

A bit more of a drive, about 50 km from Kaslo, this is a great opportunity to explore the gems 'north of the lake'. Fry Creek is an easy hike(10km round trip, 200m elevation) suitable for beginner hikers. Bring a picnic to enjoy when you arrive at the confluence of Fry Creek and Kootenay lake.
