Rock of the Popes - Located on the highest point of the town of Montefiascone, the fortress was built by Pope Innocent III during the 13th century and later used by many other popes. From there you get a lovely view of Lago Bolsena. Entry €5.

Nel Medioevo Montefiascone con la Rocca dei Papi, edificata nel punto più alto del paese, inizia ad avere importanza strategica. Negli anni seguenti Montefiascone divenne uno dei più importanti centri della chiesa.
