Formerly Plymouth Museum, The Box Plymouth will be open in Spring 2020. The major redevelopment of The Box is the flagship project for Plymouth’s Mayflower 400 commemorations to celebrate the Mayflower ship sailing from Plymouth to America. The Box will provide a home for the city’s fascinating and vast historic collections. Visitors can expect extraordinary gallery displays, high profile artists and art exhibitions, as well as exciting events and performances that take visitors on a journey from pre-history to the present and beyond. ‘Museum on Tour’ Whilst The Box is in development, you can find offsite exhibitions, tours, displays, events and projects at a range of locations across Plymouth with the ‘On Tour’ programme.
