Take in the view of Durango from the Fort Lewis College campus

A hundred foot hike gets you to a historic shelter with picnic tables and spectacular views of Durango, the La Plata mountains and the Hermosa Valley up to the West Needle mountains. The hike is short with about 15 stairs, it is somewhat steep at the top and has loose gravel on it. Walkable by most children and adults :)
