Welcome to Osaka! This two-story house(60 square meters) is located in my hometown which is very safe and convenient. The nearest subway station is Higashimikuni which is on one of major subway line in Osaka, so it's easy to access a lot of popular and famous places! It takes 3 - 4 min walk from the station to the house. There are convenience stores, grocery stores and local restaurants nearby! The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

西村邸は、奈良町の一画に100年以上たたずむ、昔ながらの奈良町屋です。 ここは、ぼくが子どもの頃、長い時間を過ごした「おばあちゃんち」でした。 奈良町には、ずっと変わらない心地よい鄙(ひな)びがあります。 「これからの世代に、少しでもこの心地よい鄙(ひな)びにふれて欲しい。」 そんな想いで、空き家になっていた西村邸を、手入れしました。 - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee. The tax fee will increase to 400 yen from March 1, 2026.

Tabitabi Shinsen | Kyoto Machiya near Nijo Castle

[Tabitabi Shinsen] is a traditional two-storey machiya , which was built in the Taisho era with more than one hundred years history. The name Shinsen comes from one of the oldest famous courtyard in Kyoto during Heian Period, "Shinsenen", which is located near our house. Here, you can experience the original and traditional Japan and the ingenuity of combining modern elements with traditional craftsmanship.

This authentic traditional Kyoto townhouse (machiya) is located on the central island of Kyoto, close to the river, Kyoto JR station and the city-center. It used to be a typical ryokan inn. In this traditional house of 3 floors, entirely refurbished on 2020, you will be invited to stay on the second floor and have your private appartement there. The house is composed of 4 private apartments.
