Located on the Black River Canal which offers trails for hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking , and snowmobiling within steps from the cabin. Bring your side by side or snowmobiles and leave from the cabin to access miles of trails both locally and in the Tug Hill region. 3 mi. from the cabin is a superb 18 hole well maintained golf course. After a fun day of riding, hiking, biking or kayaking relax in the woods around a cozy fire.

The Old Lewis County Jail at St. Drogo's house is part of a revitalization and repurposing of the county's old jail. In addition to this residence, St. Drogo's house has a coffee roastery / coffee bar as well as an artisanal bakery located on the first floor. Within a ten to fifteen minute drive you can travel to Utica College, Hamilton college, SUNY Poly, and the up and coming Nano Center. This area is unique for many small family restaurants with many options for local shopping. A short drive away are day trip options including the Baseball Hall of Fame, Syracuse, and the Adirondacks.

Knotting Pine Cabin is very spacious and can sleep 9 people. If you are looking for a great get away with friends and family you will love this cabin. Guests can enjoy walking the paths in the forest adjacent to the cabin, a game of horse shoes, canoe available for guests to take to the local ponds and reservoir. Enjoy camp fires and making s'mores at night. We are located on the Tug Hill Plateau with access from the cabin to the NYS snowmobile trail system.
