The Post Office | Luxury Wilderness Retreat

The Post Office transports you to another time and place, our heritage-listed accomodation is the heart of the beautiful town of Waratah. Opposite the Waratah Waterfall, The Post Office offers views of Mount Pearce and the expansive Happy Valley, which stretches out into the Tarkine wilderness. Waratah is nestled in a wilderness-rich pocket of Tasmania's North West and is the perfect base from which to explore the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park and the ancient Tarkine wilderness.

The Top Paddock

Welcome to the top paddock! This is glamping with a side of real camping in the Tasmanian bush. Goats and sheep will stroll around and you have over 20 acres all to yourself to explore. We're located up a gravel road on the north west coast, you won't find any other tourists here. Soak in the wood fired tub, under the blackwood tree. Cosy up to the wood fire, roasting marshmallows in your star Gazer yurt. A comfy queen bed and a backyard of adventure, its a Tasmanian version of luxury camping.

'Mistover' Farm Cottage & Galloway Stud

'Mistover' is a 32 hectare property with pasture, bushland, creeks, dams and plenty of space for your pets to run! It is home to Galloway cattle and long term resident Jonesy, the English Pointer, who loves visitors! The accommodation is a two storey, 2 bedroom, self-contained stone cottage with open fire place and private balcony. 'Mistover' is situated along the Murchison Highway, 20 kms from Burnie/Wynyard Airport and is on the doorstep of the Tarkine Wilderness!

Our newly renovated, comfortable and relaxing home ready for you to come and relax and enjoy what Queenstown has to offer. This home is perfect for families, couples and groups. With a fully equipped kitchen, walk in shower and a bath to relax in, washing machine and dryer, bbq for outside dining, cozy wood heater to warm you up on those cold days, and the most comfiest beds. Dozens of birds, Spotted Tail Quoll, Pademelons, & Eastern Barred Bandicoot do visit, again depending on the depending on the season.
