Welcome to Haven in the Trees! I am grateful to share my little piece of joy with you and yours. You will be staying in a lovely warm comfortable studio complete with a wee fridge, microwave and all you need to enjoy a light meal. You can relax outside on a private deck absorbing the sounds and sights of nature or you can take a five minute walk into the quaint village of Twain Harte where you can enjoy an espresso, many delicious restaurants and unique shops. Ideal for a weekend or week vacation in California's beautiful Sierras! The cabin is close to Pinecrest Lake for boating and swimming, Stanislaus National Forest for hiking and camping, and Dodge Ridge for skiing and boarding. We use the cabin ourselves on a regular basis, so you will find it comfortable and well equipped. The cabin is surrounded by tall pine and redwood trees and we often have deer paying us a visit in our front yard. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

The Hideaway

The Hideaway is an enchanting one room casita situated on the outer crest of the property, The Confluence. Wake up to the sunrise with a lush *View* of the natural countryside from your private deck. The Hideaway is accessed by a foot path (200ft) from the Main House. The Private Bathroom is off of the Main House (200ft from room). From the parking area to the room, it is roughly 400ft. There is no kitchen or cooking appliances other than a hot water kettle and a mini-frig.

Cozy Mountain Retreat in the High Sierras

Enjoy an escape to crisp, clean mountain air and a relaxed lifestyle: Mountain Time. Curl up in front of the warm and welcoming fireplace, enjoy cocktails on the large deck, and take advantage of never ending outdoor activities. This three-bedroom, two bath mountain sanctuary is located just above the Stanislaus River in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Elevation 5,000 feet. The cabin is a short walk from the Old Strawberry bridge and several forest trails.

Studio in Beautiful Sonora, Private &SelfContained

This self contained space is part of our home, but is a separate building right next to the house. There's a well lit hallway to your private entrance. It's one large room with an enclosed bathroom. There's a shower, toilet and vanity. No tub. There's a queen size bed, 6' couch, dining table/chairs and fridge. You can BBQ and use the patio table. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and starry nights from comfy seats on the deck.

Sierra Foothills River Retreat

Enjoy a private guest suite on the Mokelumne river with no cleaning fees and a hassle free stay. Fall asleep to the sound of the river. Sit on 1 of 3 decks to enjoy the scenic views and watch the wildlife. Walk in the river, go fishing, pan for gold. The lower deck on the river has a hammock & 2 person swing. Visit Silver lake, Kirkwood, Big Trees Nat. Park or Lake Tahoe. Go wine tasting, antiquing or hiking.

Studio In The Pines

The studio has its own private entrance and deck that overlooks the woods and Turn Back Creek. The studio is on the property of the McCaffrey House Bed and Breakfast. Guests are encouraged to roam the property, but please be aware that the studio is a separate unit from the main house and to please be courteous of their guests.
