The National Gallery houses the largest collection of modern art from Southeast Asia. You can also check out the historical significance of the buildings which used to be the Supreme Court and the City Hall. The buildings are gazetted as national monuments. For foodie, make a reservation for lunch/dinner or try your luck to walk-in for tea at the National Kitchen, which features an amalgamation of Singapore flavours. Head up to the roof top, Smoke & Mirrors, for happy hour, and catch a panaromic view of Marina Bay.

Sightseeing

Why does Singapore have a Chinatown when about 75% of its population are Chinese? Head up to level 2 of block 335 Smith Street for tastier and cheaper local street food. The food street on the ground floor costs slightly more. You will find a morning wet market at the basement of block 335 Smith Street. My parents head here for fresh produces once a week.
