This tour will take us, together with a local accompanist, to discover the real Padua. We will take a walk around the city to discover the most important sights and monuments. We will see Prato della Valle, the largest square in the city of Padua and among the largest in Europe, which with its 78 statues is an album of the important characters of Padua. The Basilica of Sant’Antonio or “Il Santo”, a destination for millions of pilgrims each year and a romantic mix of styles and cultures from all corners of the world. Along the cobblestone streets we will reach the medieval heart of the historic center. We will see the ancient Ghetto of the city that with its narrow streets has become a meeting place for young students. Then the Squares, Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta with the views of the Palazzo della Ragione and often enlivened by the stalls of the Market and the swarming of people under the "Salone". We will reach Piazza dei Signori, a meeting place for Paduans at the aperitif and once the home of the Lords of the city. Palazzo Bo, headquarters of the University of Padua, founded in 1222, which has always attracted students from all over the world. We will conclude the tour in the most typical of manners: we will stop for a coffee in the historic "Caffè Pedrocchi".

We'll met at the train station Terme Euganee Abano Montegrotto in Montegrotto Terme for the minivan pick up. With this experience I will take you to discover all flavours of the Euganean Hills, an area of around 19,000 square meters of hills of volcanic origin that rise to heights of 300 to 600 m from the Padovan-Venetian plain a few km south of Venice. Since a long time ago vineyards and olive trees are cultivated and grown in our territory, from these products real delights are produced: the wine and the olive oil of Euganean Hills. We’ll visit a small olive oil mill, where you’ll discover the art of olive oil production, and the right way to taste it. Then I chose for you, one of the best family winery of this area. where you will taste wines paired with local products. Here the particular volcanic origin of the soil and the good climate allows the cultivation of various vines. Among the white wines: the Serprino, biotype of the Glera vine, is the “volcanic” version of Prosecco; the Pinot bianco; the Garganega, the Chardonnay and Manzoni. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Carmènere have found space among the reds. Between a walk through the vineyards, a visit to the cellar and several wine tastings paired with typical local products we will listen to the wise tale of the winemaker about the expressions of his best wines.

A journey on the history, behind the scenes of a XIV century venetian gothic palace. We will jump back in the history by seeing and deciphering stones and epigraphs dating back from the paleo-venetik ages, passing through roman times, early Christian age, medioeval period, renaissance, baroque and modern times. We will visit a museum in the museum, which is an archeological collection made by Giovanni da Schio (a family ancestor) in the 1850s, gathering pieces around Vicenza and its territories, and showcasing them in the courtyard of his home to share with visitors and scholars a witness of long history of his City. And we can still admire his collection in its original display! You will learn how to read Latin numbers . We will "read" together the growth and transformation of a beautiful Palace along many centuries. Ciao!!! We will introduce each other and drink a glass of wine so as to brake the ice. In the meantime you will be given a white apron and be assigned to a working station. First of all you will make the sauce for your Gnocchi, tomato & basil with top-quality and fresh ingredients. While the sauce is simmering in the the frying-pan you will start "getting dirty" and make the dough with flours, eggs and potatoes. When the dough is ready we will start to create our Gnocchi by creating long and thin "sausages" of pasta and cutting them into small cylinders. After that we will start shaping our gnocchi with the "rigapasta", an essential tool to get the lines on the gnocchi so that the sauce will get stuck on them. Finally we will cook Gnocchi, mix them with the tomato & basil sauce and we will sit together and enjoy our home-made Italian Gnochi. Along the experience you will be offered unlimited wine and drinks so that you won't be thirsty. Other things to note If you have flour allergies this is not the experience suitable for you.

You will learn how to make a delicious Italian pizza. We will explain you the basics of pizza: ingredients, temperature, dough rising, oven and other instruments needed to make your perfect pizza. You will receive a white apron so that you get into the cooking experience. You will be assigned a working station provided with all tools and instruments to make your best pizza. You will make the dough with your hands, you will learn how to stretch it and afterwards you will top the pizza with your favorite ingredients and cook it. We will finally sit down eating pizza and drinking all together. Other things to note If you have flour allergies this is not the experience for you.

You'll met our local tour leader Chiara at the train station Terme Euganee Abano Montegrotto in Montegrotto Terme. With this tour to Arquà Petrarca we’ll discover the second most beautiful medieval villages in venetian region. Francesco Petrarca, one of the most famous Italian poets, made Arquà Petrarca his home. In this marvellous medieval village, we’ll visit Petrarch’s house and we’ll be amazed by the beauty and sinuosity of the Euganean Hills. We can say his house is a pearl surrounded by this pretty medieval village, where the time seems to have stopped. We’ll discover it with, first, a visit in a well-known olive oil mill, where the oil producer will explain us his every day work and the process of production of olive oil. In the end, we’ll finish this visit with a guided tasting of olive oil of the Euganean Hills. We continue our experiential tour with the visit of the little enterprise of a producer of venetian delights: here we’ll have a tasting of liqueurs, marmalades and Brodo di Giuggiole accompanied by the wise tale of the owner and producer. With this hiking tour, I will take you to discover the nature of the Euganean Hills, an area of around 19,000 square meters of hills of volcanic origin that rise from the Padovan-Venetian plain a few km south of Venice. The geological origin of the Euganean soils and the shape of the terrain are the main reasons for the big diversity of the Euganean flora. I will accompany you to discover the Monte Venda, the highest hill of the Euganean Hills. During our walk, we’ll have the opportunity to visit the ruins of the Monastery of the Benedictines monks. Of the medieval building, dedicated to the St. John the Baptist, remain today just ruins, part of the Monastery, of the clocktower and of the crypt. The legends tell that is was founded in 1197 by Adamo da Torreglia who decided to spend the rest of his life here as a hermit and was after followed by the Benedictine monks of Santa Giustina of Padua. I will’ tell you how that Monte Venda has even been an important NATO base. If you will be here in autumn or winter, I'll take you to see the famous thermal inversion: I will take you to a place where you will be above the clouds and see only the tops of the hills stand out like so many islands in a sea of clouds.
