Nestled in the shade of the Lake Almanor Pines neighborhood, our rustic cedar cabin boasts the comforts of a secluded getaway with the convenience to many nearby attractions including Mt Lassen National Park. Launch your boat at the Marina ($40+/-) or Canyon Dam (Free) to have a fun-filled day of water sports or fishing. Visit Bailey Creek Golf Course, golf or play Pickleball at Lake Almanor County Club, visit local restaurants, coffee shop, grocery store, microbrewery, and gas station nearby.

Hiker's Retreat Cabin

Cute cabin for two! Set in the midst of Plumas National Forest, Paxton is very secluded. Walking distance to the beautiful Feather River and our own private sand beach. Hiking, swimming and tubing. Close to Lake Almanor, Bucks Lake, the quaint towns of Quincy and Belden, snowshoeing, fishing and many other outdoor activities. We also have a Little Tree Library with books for all ages, or little games to play. Plus, we include many lawn games right here on the historic Paxton Lodge property.

Take in the views from the expansive deck with it's BBQ, and gas firepit. As part of the Lake Almanor Country Club, you'll have access to the community summer concerts, sandy beaches, tennis/pickleball/basketball/bocce courts, boat launches, and golf course.

This is the place where kids forget about their IPADS and phones. Boat Dock is removed from Nov 1st to April 1st do to winter/snow conditions. Sorry for the inconvenience

Cozy cabin near some of California's most pristine pine forest, waterholes and fishing, and only 9 miles from the Lassen National Park's Southwest Visitor Center. The town of Mineral is a small island of private cabins surrounded by a sea of National Forest and National Park lands. An adventurer's dream. You could walk out the backdoor of the cabin, into the forest, and arrive at the Lassen Visitor Center without crossing a single paved road, or seeing another human. Just bears.

You can enjoy the seasonal heated swimming pool at Sierra Sky Lodge. Hiking, lake swimming and exploring is a beautiful 20 minute drive to the Gold Lakes Basin area. 5 Fantastic golf courses are just 15-30 minutes away. So much to do in our rural area and come back to our peaceful hideaway.

A short walk out the back door, past the barn is the Feather River. Our home sits at the edge of Chester which creates privacy along with markets & restaurants near by. Breathe in the fresh mountain air, relax & rejuvenate, while you take in the breathtaking view of the meadow.
