La cabaña Arriero está en La Loma de Thoreau, Quintas del Bosque, a 940 metros sobre el nivel del mar y en el corazón de la Cordillera Central dominicana. Se la dedicamos a Henry David Thoreau (1817- 1862), porque él y sus escritos son quien más nos han inspirado a llevar el estilo de vida que elegimos. Decía Thoreau que quien avanza confiado en la dirección de sus sueños, cruza una frontera invisible. Estamos felices de compartir nuestro lugar en el mundo. ¡Bienvenidos a la Loma de Thoreau!

We have created a cozy, comfortable space to relax to the max! Come enjoy the fresh air in this private casita in the clouds. Escape the Covid craziness and work/ study from the comfort of the large covered balcony! Soak up the sun in the garden and enjoy the cool mountain breeze. Located next to Monte Bonito, a perfect home base to hike the country roads, lounge on the ample balcony and enjoy the fresh air and sounds of nature. The cottage is a 15 minute drive into the mountains of Jarabacoa.

Your house, with just under 50 m², is located at the edge of our property, surrounded by plenty of greenery. It has 3 rooms with up to 5 sleeping places. YOU HAVE YOUR OWN PRIVATE POOL! The house offers all the comforts, including a flatscreen TV, a music speaker, and of course excellent Wi-Fi. On the large covered terrace, you’ll find a nice gas grill. There is also a fire pit and a jacuzzi, although the jacuzzi is currently not working and not heated.
