Traverse Lodge Base Camp Room 1

This is a newly renovated property with the adventure traveler in mind. Whether seeking out museums, arts & cultural events, or the many recreational opportunities the Adirondacks offer, we hope this is the perfect base for your travels. Our goal was to create a space and features that we appreciate when traveling. Unique rooms with clean, simple lines, glassware and mugs, coffee-tea-cocoa with real half and half, and towel warmers! The sink is located in the room itself, with shower and toilet in ensuite bathroom, making it easier for multiple users. Rooms 4 and 5 are offer an optional adjoining configuration, and the two cabins in the rear of the property adjoin the fire pit area. Please note that we are a non-smoking property and pets are not allowed.

Walking from Mirror Lake, Cobble Hill Trailhead and Main Street, Lake Placid. Accessible via SKI SHUTTLE in the winter!

A great place to begin your Adirondack Adventure! *Base price covers the first two guests* TMax and topofgothics (Terri and David) met in the Adirondacks in autumn of 2003 and we have been hiking here ever since. We are a 10 minute drive from the Loj parking lot, and 20 from The Garden.

For full Breakfasts Meals, there are 3 Breakfast Diners within 1-4 miles.

Quiet room in the Adirondacks #3

This is an older style hotel with a covered porch along the front. It is set back off the road right next to a trail head. There is a total of 4 single rooms and a dog friendly suite on the end. Ideal location if traveling alone, with a group or need a place to vacation with the whole family. On property is also a restaurant serving breakfast/lunch and a store.

Welcome skiiers and hikers! Built in 1905 as the Reception Hospital, the Prescott House is now a beautiful brick guesthouse a few blocks from the center of Saranac Lake. This dorm-style room has two twin beds and a shared bath across the hall. Downstairs you'll find a communal kitchen, laundry, porches, pool table and s a comfortable parlor with coffee & tea.
