Plenty of room inside and outside for family fun. Two double beds (one is single/double) in two separate bedrooms. Well provisioned kitchen for cooking. Secure garden . Space for two cars on the driveway. Formby or Southport are 20 minutes drive away. Aintree racecourse, Haydock racecourse, Liverpool city centre attractions are 45 minutes or less by car and an hour by bus / train. There are train stations at Formby and Maghull. There are no shops in the village but convenience shops in Lydiate.

The Hay Barn

The Annexe

The Annexe is a self contained property directly opposite our family home. All fixtures and fittings have been thoughtfully planned to ensure you have a comfortable stay. There is one large double bedroom with a luxurious king size bed, an open plan living area with a smart TV, log burner for cozy nights and electric heating. The bathroom has a large walk in electric shower. The property is suitable for up to two adults (not suitable for children/toddler’s due to the large pond outside).

‘The Shippen’ is a barn conversion, once part of a small dairy farm. High beamed ceilings give a spacious, rustic feel, and the double sided log burner makes the living spaces cosy. A ‘home from home’ that many guests return to. Good base to explore the Sefton coastal towns from Crosby to Southport. Ideally located for Aintree racecourse, ‘Another Place’ at Crosby Beach and the many golf links courses. A short drive to Knowsley Safari Park and Aughton - Michelin Star capital of the North!

Local train station with easy access into the Seaside town Southport and also Liverpool City Centre. Plenty walks to do in the Pine Woods. Great location with Great transport links!

My refurbished family home now has a one bedroom apartment annex. We're on the main road into Formby but standing back from the road and close to many local amenities. This one bedroom apartment has a large double bedroom with kitchen/diner/lounge looking through bi-fold windows onto its own patio and our large family garden. It is annexed to our house having its own separate side entrance. Ideal for those visiting family in Formby or for golf on the several nearby links.

Crosby is a small seaside town with a rich cultural heritage, a vibrant dining scene, and what is almost certainly the finest beach in Merseyside. Crosby makes for a great day trip from nearby Liverpool while others choose the town as a tranquil base from which to explore the area. With a strong connection to the Irish Sea, Crosby is popular among locals for its marina – a hot spot for diverse wildlife – and Crosby Beach, home to the iconic Another Place art installation.

Blundellsands Apartment.

My apartment is contemporary, compact and very comfortable. The property is situated in Blundellsands which is quiet and leafy. Adjacent to Liverpool to Southport railway line it's a 7 minute walk to train station (Liverpool in 20 mins, Southport in 25 mins). Gormley's Iron Men and beach 10 min walk, 3 min drive. Plenty of good bars, eateries, shops and supermarket nearby. High chair and travel cot on request. Garden shared with our super friendly Springer Spaniel.
