Windy Hall is very special. High in the Cumbrian Pennines, it offers one of the finest views in England. Many guests just stay and enjoy the setting & seclusion, but we are also ideally placed for day trips to the Lake District, the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, Hadrian's Wall, and the castles & coasts of Northumberland. Stonecrop is a much loved cottage and enjoys a tranquil setting with a large, attractive garden, situated in a stunning part of Northumberland. Guests are welcome to wander through our adjoining field to reach the banks of the river South Tyne. It was built in 1760 and has retained its original character whilst benefiting from all mod cons. Many guests return year after year and dogs are welcome too. Stonecrop is within easy reach of Hadrian’s Wall, the Yorkshire Dales, the Borders and Lakes.

We are located less than 10 miles to Carlisle and a short drive to the M6 a gateway to Scotland, the lake district and Northumberland. Tweed mill dates back to the 1800's. It was originally an outbuilding to the Tweed Mill.
