WINDY HALL - Secluded luxury with stunning views

Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

Beautiful 2 bed Lodge with woodland + stream view

The Hide Lodge is a stylish space, designed with relaxing and retreating in mind. It is cosy and warm with underfloor heating. The open plan lounge and living area has full width bi-fold doors, which allows the space to be fully opened up to feel like part of the woodland beyond. The main bedroom boasts sliding french doors, also overlooking the woodland and stream, with a bath placed to enjoy this view. There is a private terrace and patio area to enjoy al-fresco dining or star-gazing.

An impressive one bedroomed cottage, situated in the heart of the village of Scotby, with the village shop and local pub literally on the doorstep. The cottage required total renovation and took almost a year to get everything perfect. Today it has all the charm and character of a 150 year cottage but with all the modern conveniences and luxuries. Gatesgarth is a 2 bedroomed traditional English cottage with self contained bathroom, kitchen & lounge, part of a 16th Century Inn, all overlooking the Eden Valley. Our kitchen has a log burner so you can unwind in a cozy atmosphere. This cottage has a private entrance and each room has a beautiful aspect overlooking the countryside. And you could choose to dine in our restaurant. Please check opening times as we do not open every day. Booking is also advisable.
